I am definitely ready for classes to start. I miss the campus atmosphere and meeting new people in class. I miss walking into class and learning new things along with other people. This Fall I am taking five classes instead of four like the previous semesters. I will be attending two classes on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s and I have three online classes. The style of an online class is something that is new to me. Continue Reading
I have always loved filming and editing videos. All I need is a camera, and someone to film, if I can’t myself. Recently I have been making a bunch of little videos I post on my YouTube account. Most of the videos currently listed are videos of my experiences. I like video better than pictures, because videos are “moving pictures”. I find that more entertaining than a simple picture. I have been doing a lot of thinking about saving money recently. It has never really bothered me that I have not been saving money for the future. I think now I am beginning to wise up a bit. With immature budgeting on my part and tuition costs, I have to take out loans to pay for school. I could have so much money right now in the bank, but I do not. I started working when I was 16 and the difference between the amount I could have had by now, versus the actual amount I have now, is huge. Continue Reading
On Friday, I was out for a run with my buddy Scott when we saw this huge black cloud rolling in. We were running through IPFW campus when we could hear this storm coming towards us at a fast pace. Then all of sudden a strong wall of wind pounds through us. Luckily there were buildings open on campus we could head into for shelter. I had never seen winds like that before. The lights were flickering and the wind was beating on the building. I honestly thought there was a tornado ripping through campus. We hung out in the athletic facility and continued to run on their indoor track to wait out the storm before heading back. Continue Reading

Yesterday evening I participated in something call Trek the Trails. Every Tuesday people meet up to go for a bicycle ride on Fort Wayne’s Rivergreenway Trails. It was a pretty cool sight to see everybody out and about on their bicycles. These rides last no longer than 10 miles at a time. It is somewhat of a slow-paced ride. I think most people like to take in the nature scenes. I do as well, but I think I can do it riding faster than 8 mph… There were some points where there was enough room to overtake the riders in front of you. I believe the front of the pack is the place to be if you want to ride a little faster. About halfway through they stop and take a short break and let everyone catch up. I took some video clips of this ride and put them together. Enjoy!
Thanks to a photo contest put on by IPFW’s newspaper, The Communicator, I won two tickets to the Godsmack, Staind, and Halestorm concert at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The contest was to take a photo of yourself reading this newspaper in a strange place. I submitted a few great pictures that my sister helped me capture.
That picture was the best one out of the group, I thought, and apparently the staff did as well. It took a few days to pick a winner, and there were not too many submissions by other people. I was looking through other submissions and, without trying to be biased, thought mine was most strange or outrageous I guess you could say as well! I went to pick up my tickets and I was so excited!
I asked my good friend Alex to come with me to this concert. This was one of a few concerts that I have been to. My last concert I went to was a Styx concert in Muncie back in 2010 I believe. That was awesome, but this concert definitely topped that one. Continue Reading
