I am definitely ready for classes to start. I miss the campus atmosphere and meeting new people in class. I miss walking into class and learning new things along with other people. This Fall I am taking five classes instead of four like the previous semesters. I will be attending two classes on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s and I have three online classes. The style of an online class is something that is new to me. Continue Reading
I have always loved filming and editing videos. All I need is a camera, and someone to film, if I can’t myself. Recently I have been making a bunch of little videos I post on my YouTube account. Most of the videos currently listed are videos of my experiences. I like video better than pictures, because videos are “moving pictures”. I find that more entertaining than a simple picture. Wow, 100 posts already? It seems not too long ago I started this blog for myself and any others who want to follow me through life’s adventures. At first I cared about getting views on the blogs and whatnot, but I really learned not to care. This blog is mainly supposed to be for myself. I wasn’t quite sure what kind of post I would write for the 100th posting, but I decided a quick reflection would work nicely. I enjoy looking back and watching how I have grown. Continue Reading
Wow what a weekend it has been! I try to make the best of every weekend I have off from work and try to do something fun. Until Monday, I did not have anything planned for this past weekend. Bored one evening, I was scrolling through my Facebook news-feed and saw a video one of my friends, Dan, had made. It was about the Holler Hoppin Zip Lines in Nashville, Indiana. He is doing an internship there for the summer. I knew immediately that is what I was going to do on the weekend! I found out it was only $30 to zip and made a reservation for Saturday right away. On Friday, I was out for a run with my buddy Scott when we saw this huge black cloud rolling in. We were running through IPFW campus when we could hear this storm coming towards us at a fast pace. Then all of sudden a strong wall of wind pounds through us. Luckily there were buildings open on campus we could head into for shelter. I had never seen winds like that before. The lights were flickering and the wind was beating on the building. I honestly thought there was a tornado ripping through campus. We hung out in the athletic facility and continued to run on their indoor track to wait out the storm before heading back. Continue Reading
That’s it folks. It’s all over. The end finally came, finals are over, and summer break is now here!
I can not believe how fast the Spring semester has flown by. It seems like this semester was shorter than the one in the Fall. Either way, I am not complaining that it went by fast. I now have a nice break to enjoy! I am not taking summer classes this summer, but I probably will in the years to come. I want to finish school in an adequate amount of time. These past two semesters, my first two of my college career, I have taken twelve credit hours each. Next semester I am registered for fifteen credit hours, which is five classes instead of four.
Next semester I am registered for two classes on campus and three classes online. For my first two classes I have to go to campus and sit in on class, like I normally would and have been doing for all of my classes thus far. My other three classes are online. I have yet to take a class online, so I am not sure yet what it will be like. I am taking somewhat of a risk scheduling three. I know that taking online classes takes a lot of determination, motivation, and focus to get the work done. Only one of my online classes requires me to go to campus for tests. Other than that, all of the work is online through the university’s BlackBoard system. I feel like I will do alright in the online classes. I spend a good amount of time on the computer…doing anything at random. I feel I could click on my class and see what assignments are due that week or day and just do them right away. I would send it right in on the computer and then not worry about it until the next assignment pops up that is due. Overall, I am really interested to see what these online classes turn out to be.
