On the radio station is where I first heard that Mountain Man, a star from the television show “Duck Dynasty”, would make an appearance at the Auburn WWII Victory Museum for a charity event. And I also saw my local news advertise it as well on their website. When I heard this, being a fan of the show, I decided I must go! My girlfriend, Bailey, joined me as well! We both are fans of the show so we were pretty ecstatic to the idea of meeting him.
I’ve really never been star-struck before, because I really have never met anyone “famous”. So this was the first time I’ve ever seen anyone remotely famous and definitely was in awe when I saw him sitting at the table. I was thinking “Wow! It’s really him. Right here in front of my face!” There was a line waiting to see him to get pictures and autographs so we made our way to the back. There wasn’t as many people present as I thought there was going to be. It only took us about an hour to get through the line to see him. Bailey and I both got a t-shirt for him to sign and I got a picture of him signed as well. He talks just as slow as he does on television and in the same way too.
It was a very great day and I am so glad that we went to see him! Now if only the entire cast would have shown up, that would have been very awesome!
