It seems most of the celebration from getting home from training is over. After switching to a bigger room, buying a new, big television, attending almost every poker night trying my skill/luck, expanding my DVD collection, buying a boatload of fireworks, and taking a trip to Florida with friends, I’d say I’ve had my share of big expenses with the chunk of change I came home with. I still have quite a bit of money from Army paychecks, but that will be going to student loans I am paying on now. In fact, I have started a…project, if you will.
It’s called The Millionaire Project. Basically, it’s something to keep me motivated to save earned money, pay down student loans, and invest for the future. This project includes keeping track of all of my income/expenses and reporting them publicly to an audience…a YouTube audience that is. Every week on Tuesday I will post a new video. My first video that was posted gained me about ten subscribers to YouTube in a week’s time, so there is interest out there for what I am doing. I stated that I will continue creating these weekly videos until I have acquired a net worth of one million dollars. It’s quite a goal, but a good commitment to keep me honest and accountable.
I start work at Fazoli’s in a few days and I have been donating plasma to earn some extra cash. A couple of days ago I started an eBay account and I am trying to sell a few things to make a few bucks that way as well. Also, my FWCS job starts near the end of August, so that will be one more income source I will have. I want to pay down my loans like a madman once I start getting paychecks.
I will be posting the videos here on the blog every week, so it will be an easy find. Here is my YouTube channel for those of you who have an account and would like to subscribe. If you have a Google account, that will work as a login for YouTube as well. http://www.youtube.com/user/justincastleman
So what do you think? Crazy? Yeah, I know so.
