Now that I have been taught everything I need to know to be a Military Police Soldier, it’s time to put all of the skills and drills I’ve learned to the test. We are about to go on our last field training experience for five days. The missions will be mounted, so we will be driving humvees throughout. I believe we will be sleeping in big tents on cots. Today we dipped a couple uniforms in a deet solution in order to keep the bugs away. They say there are mosquitoes, ticks, and chiggers out now that it’s hot. Also they mentioned there are always occurrences and run-ins with snakes and spiders in the field.
I’m not sure yet what kind of missions we’ll run this time, but I know it’s going to be pretty awesome. This event is pretty much everything we have left to do before graduation. As I write this, we have only 17 days and a wake up before the big day. And even less to see my family! I can’t believe I have been away for so long. See you soon!
Until next time,
