Well I guess it is that time of the year again to create some resolutions, or some changes to make myself a better person. I’ve thought about it for a little bit and I have a couple in mind.
I would like to volunteer more. Even a small amount will be more than I am doing now. I would like to help out someone else for their benefit. At least going somewhere once every week to donate some of my time would be nice. I am not quite sure where I would like to volunteer, but somewhere where volunteers are surely needed. Completing this resolution would contain finding a place to volunteer at least once every week and continue this throughout the year. It will have to be after I get back from training, however.
My other resolution is to become more financially aware. I am getting to that age where I may be on my own soon, and living in the real world. Money can definitely get away from people and they lose track of it, going into debt. I do not want to be any of these people having financial trouble. I figure I am still young enough to start using my money wisely before it gets out of control. I would surely live within my means. To complete this resolution, I would need to keep a list of all my expenses and a list of all my income on a spreadsheet. Being the first day of the year, it makes for a great starting point. I already added a couple of things to that list from today. If I want to go above and beyond this goal or resolution, I would keep receipts from all purchases. I will try to collect all receipts, but I make no promises.
I think these are two really great resolutions to give me something to accomplish this year. I am looking forward to see how I slowly, but surely, complete each goal.
