Wow what a weekend it has been! I try to make the best of every weekend I have off from work and try to do something fun. Until Monday, I did not have anything planned for this past weekend. Bored one evening, I was scrolling through my Facebook news-feed and saw a video one of my friends, Dan, had made. It was about the Holler Hoppin Zip Lines in Nashville, Indiana. He is doing an internship there for the summer. I knew immediately that is what I was going to do on the weekend! I found out it was only $30 to zip and made a reservation for Saturday right away.
It was a pretty long drive to my destination, but I made it successfully with the help of a few snacks and goodies and a list of songs on my Ipod. The zip line tour was awesome. The zip lines are a part of Rawhide Ranch. They have horseback riding as well. The ranch has a hotel the is located above a stable and also a couple of cabins I believe. I walked around the ranch for a bit until Dan finished his last group of zippers.
We went to Bloomington where Dan lives and I dropped off some overnight stuff. I stayed in the fraternity he is living in during the summer and school year. We went to grab a bite to eat at Pita Pit and then he showed me around the Indiana University campus. This is the first time I had been down here, so it was nice to see this awesome school. We finished the night by watching “Old School” on television.
The next morning, I went to Brown County State Park. This is a sweet park! They have hiking and mountain bike trails, lookout points, and even a pool. I brought my bicycle along to ride throughout the park. It did not take long to figure out that it was a big task to ride around due to all of the big hills. I checked out most of the lookout points to view all of the beautiful scenery around me. I normally do not see hills like this in flat, Northern Indiana. It was definitely a sight I would not mind waking up to.
After leaving the park, it was time for the long drive home. I miss driving in the south already. There are so many turns, swoops, and hills. It is simply awesome. Now I am back to flat, boring roads. I will definitely be going back eventually.

Hey look! This is something to cross off my Bucket List!
