I was pretty nervous going into my finals, because I was on the border already in a few classes between letter grades. I am looking to get A’s and B’s in the courses. The finals always have a high weighted percentage that determines the final grade in the class. I did fairly well on all of my finals. In my Math 113 Intermediate Algebra class I received a “B”. I also received a “B” in my English 131 Composition class. In my Intro to Philosophy class I got a “B-” and finally, in my Intro to Computers class I received a “B+”. I am fairly happy with all of my grades this semester. I was really scared I might have gotten a “C” in a course, which would really make me mad at myself. I am that type of person who thinks “C’s” are bad grades. It’s just average. And I believe I can do better than that.
My lowest grade was a “B-“. I took a chance by taking a philosophy course. I did not know if I would like it, or dislike it. I figured I would try something new. Turns out, I really dislike philosophy. Even though the professor lectured for the ENTIRE course, and nothing but that, I understood what the philosophy world is about, and I honestly don’t care for it. And it could have gone the other way. This bad experience of taking a class out of my realm of knowledge will not affect me in future decisions of taking another unknown subject matter. I certainly will use my elective credits to take a variety of courses to keep it interesting!
Now to enjoy the summer, and then on to the next set of classes this fall!
