At one point in my life, just recently, I thought about joining a branch of the military. I was getting tired of the same old things and wanted to do something worth doing. I wanted to do something that was bigger than me. I wanted to travel and see different places, and the military would allow me to do that. I wanted to see different cultures and different ways of living. I wanted some kind of change. I was not positive I wanted to do this, but was eager to think about this. It would have provided me with money for college and shape me into a better person overall.
I was looking into the Army specifically. One of my friends joined the U.S. Army and loves it. The scary part about that though, is the government can put you wherever they please. At this time, as previously stated, I was not 100% sure I wanted to do this.
I got thinking about plans for the future. I realized the best thing for me right now, is to keep going to school and earn this degree first. Once I have done that, there will be plenty of opportunities that will excite interest within me. Even though it is not an exciting lifestyle at this point, (a typical college student with a part-time job) I am comfortable with this situation. I have it too easy! However, I can not wait to finish college and start a career in a field I love!
