A lot can happen over a cup of coffee at the local coffee shop. Whether it’s business, procrastination, or catching up with an old friend, I find it a nice atmosphere to hang out in.
I do not consider myself a coffee addict, but I always like to make a few cups in the morning before school. I can never drink straight, black coffee. I always use a flavored creamer in my coffee. The current creamers that are in my refrigerator right now are Vanilla/Caramel and Pumpkin Spice. I like the pumpkin one better. I do not know how some people can stand the taste of black coffee. I can just assume it is an acquired taste over time. Also, I think some people drink coffee excessively to stay awake throughout the day to perform their jobs. The main reason I drink coffee, is to have something to warm me up in the winter. I do not drink as much coffee in the summer for that reason. And also, I do not have to wake up for classes!
Back to the main point, a single cup of coffee can provide tasteful hours of conversation between people. It is very astonishing how much you can learn about another person over coffee. There is that typical saying when two people want to connect with each other: “Hey, do you want to grab coffee sometime?” This question has so much meaning, I could not even start to explain it. That question poses as a start of something new. Recently, I had asked this question myself. I met up with a great friend, from middle school, at Starbucks. And yes, it was a girl. 🙂 After a couple of hours of talking we found out what we have been doing since middle school and also found out that we have a lot in common! Oh man, what a cup of coffee can do. And as I stated before, that question is the start of something new. I believe I am starting something new with this special girl. 🙂
All in all, coffee and conversation are a great combination!
