It is now the week of finals and the whole semester comes down to one exam. Throughout this semester I have done well on all of the homework and in-class work. I’ve done well on all the quizzes and tests. I’m really hoping I can finish off the semester strong with good grades on my final exams. Who isn’t hoping that?
I bet the people who are clenching their teeth the most are those students who started showing up for class in the last couple of weeks. They seem like they are new students, because I have never seen them in awhile. They made the choice of not going to class. I did not make that mistake. For the whole semester I missed one class due to sleeping in because I hit the snooze alarm a few many times and accidentally turned the alarm off. Excuses aside, I made a gallant effort to attend all of my classes and it has paid off.
I am predicting that I will get all A’s this semester. However, I do have doubts about my criminal justice class. I will have had four exams total after the final. Those four exams make up my grade for the course. The professor said he will drop the lowest score of all four, so that was a relief. So right now with the lowest exam dropped, I have two B’s. If I can get an A on this final exam, it might push me up to an A in the course. (Factoring attendance/participation points and the weight of the final exam.)
All of my finals are on Tuesday. I get the rest of the week off from school and the following three weeks until the Spring semester. I’m ready for a break! I’m not sure when my final grades for the course will be posted, but I think they get posted on Blackboard, an online database for students’ use to check grades on assignments and tests. I will post an update as soon as I find out my final grades!
Enjoy your week! Stay warm if you are experiencing cold weather like Indiana is! Good luck to college students on your final exams!
