Thanksgiving is just a few days away. What is Thanksgiving anyway? Something about pilgrims coming to America to share food with the Indians? Why do we celebrate Thanksgiving in the U.S. anyway? What is it’s purpose? I do not know precisely the answers to these questions; however, I will share my view on the holiday, Thanksgiving.
In my personal opinion, Thanksgiving is a time to get together with your family and friends to celebrate with food and drinks on behalf of everything that you are thankful for in life. Times may be bad and stressful, but let me remind you that family and friends will always be a huge part of your life and will do anything for you. Take this time of Thanksgiving to reflect on your own life and what you are thankful for. Think about all the advantages you have in your life and also, think about the people who are not so lucky. What can you do to help less fortunate people enjoy this holiday season?
First, I am thankful for God and his guidance throughout my life. I am thankful for the plans He has for me and how He has helped me through the toughest times. Secondly, I am thankful for my family who has supported me through all of the challenges I have endured. I would also like to thank my friends for being the source of laughter in my life, and those people who I can always count on to talk to. Lastly, I am thankful for all the things in life itself: the good things and the bad, because they shape the person that I am.
So on this Thanksgiving holiday, enjoy the time with your family and share the things you are thankful for with each other. And most importantly, EAT GOOD FOOD!
